Course development
Custom e-learning development, from your material to a finished course
Have presentations, manuals or procedures but no online courses? Our team turns them into structured e-learning with narration, sections and assessments, ready to run in OurTrainingRoom.
What we build
Alongside the platform, the OurTrainingRoom team develops custom training courses. A course can include:
- Multimedia presentations built from your content.
- Narration, so learners can listen as well as read.
- Sections that break the material into manageable parts.
- Quizzes along the way and a final assessment.
- A certificate on completion, and a renewal period if the training has to be repeated.
Start with what you already have
Most courses begin with existing material: a PowerPoint deck from a classroom session, a policy or procedure manual, a safety orientation, or the knowledge of the person who has always delivered the training. We work with you to turn it into a course that learners can complete on their own, at their own pace.
How a course project works
Review your material
We look at what you have, who the learners are, and what they need to be able to do or know at the end.
Agree on the structure
The course is broken into sections, with the assessments and passing requirements agreed up front.
Build and narrate
The course is produced with your branding and content, and narration where it helps.
Review together
You check the course for accuracy before it goes to staff.
Launch and track
The course is added to OurTrainingRoom, assigned to the right people, and tracked like any other course.
Converting PowerPoint to online training
A slide deck written for a presenter rarely works on its own. Converting it means adding the explanation the presenter used to give, splitting it into sections, and checking understanding with questions. That is the work we do, so the course stands on its own.
Built to work in an LMS
Courses are built to run in OurTrainingRoom with progress, scores and completion recorded on each learner's transcript. Ask us if you need a course in SCORM format for use elsewhere.
